Channel Drains

Channel drains, also referred to as atrench drains, are well suited to awide variety of surface drainage applications. They provide for flexibility andfacilitate construction accuracy, but maintain a lower installation cost whencompared to conventional hand-formed cast-in-place methods of creating trenchdrains.

The channeldrain’s components have superior chemical resistance, greater strength, lowerwater absorption, and better freeze/thaw resistance than does Portland cementconcrete. This makes the Basement Professor’s channel drains excellent forcapturing, containing, and transporting surface runoff in any drainageapplication. The higher hydraulic flow velocity and smooth surface reducesdebris build-up in our precast polymer concrete drain in comparison to acast-in-place trench drain construction.
